Fill ’Er Up! These Are the 6 Best Juicing Blenders You Can Buy

In case you didn't get the memo, you should be juicing.

By Courtney Thompson

When I contemplate breakfast every morning, I often hear these R. Kelly lyrics in my head: “My mind is telling me no, but my body, my body’s telling me yes.” Kelly probably wasn’t referring to breakfast in his song “Bump and Grind,”—no clue what he could be referring to there—but he would likely agree with me that we’d all have blueberry pancakes with a side order of bacon and an extra-large coffee every morning if we could.

For a litany of reasons, however, health being number one, we just can’t eat like that every day. And so…juicing. The CDC says we should be consuming 1.5 to 2 cups of fruit and 2 to 3 cups of vegetables daily—but according to a 2015 study, less than 15 percent of Americans are actually hitting those numbers. So, that new healthy habit you’re considering? Yeah, it’s a good idea.

Which means you’re about to jump on the juice train and a regular old blender just won’t do. What do you need? A juicer. These contraptions blend (or pulverize) fruit and vegetables into a smooth, drinkable liquid, and most can ditch the pulp if you want to. We tested the best-reviewed ones on the market to see which ones can be used day-in and day-out with ease, consistently producing the best results. Our favorites are below.

1. Breville The Juice Fountain Cold

We love the Breville juice fountain for multiple reasons—chief of which is its ability to produce up to two liters of a juice at a time, which you can store in the handy jug that is part of the set. Read: No more early-morning juice concocting, instead you can make one batch up to four days in advance…which means less prep and cleanup, and let’s be honest, this will probably aid you in your quest to keep up this healthy habit. Great for newbie juicers, the fountain has an extra-wide chute that can accommodate whole fruits and vegetables (less chopping) and a dual speed blade so powerful it can even blend pineapple chunks with the rind on.

Bonus: Most of the parts are top-shelf-dishwasher-friendly.

2. Vitamix Professional Series 750

You know the meme, “Get you a girl who can do both”? Well, if that were applied to blending, Vitamix would be the girl. Able to make juices just as easily as smoothies—and soups and doughs and ice creams—the Vitamix is often described by its owners as the item they either user daily or simply can’t live without. Why? Well, for one, there is its ability to create lots of precise textures via the blender’s speed control options (from smooth purees to hearty soups) or automated settings you can use again and again for consistency. In a matter of seconds, the Vitamix pulverizes rough greens, seeds or whatever else you’re adding into the pitcher into a silky liquid. It’s also incredibly easy to use and comes with a full-warranty that covers parts and shipping back and forth.

3. Hurom HZ Slow Juicer

There’s that saying about the tortoise and the hare, and in this case, the Hurom is the tortoise—relying on slow-squeeze technology to churn at just 43 revolutions per minute to squeeze every drop of juice out of your ingredients. The process is meant to mirror how fruit would be hand-squeezed, and is in stark contrast to the shredding or pulverizing techniques of other juice blenders. The result is less damage to your ingredients (and their nutrient makeup) and an incredibly fresh and natural taste. The Hurom is also super gorgeous to look at, so you won’t mind this stunner taking up a permanent residence on your countertop.

Bonus: Hurom’s motor is nearly silent, meaning zero guilt about loading up on juice before you catch that 6 a.m. train.

4. Omega Juice Cube 300S

Another slower juicer—this one is of the masticating variety, however and faster than the Hurom at 80 rotations per minute—the Juice Cube is versatile in its ability to churn out fresh juices, in addition to smoothies, nut butters, soy and almond milks and more. The Cube has five adjustable speed settings and automatically ejects pulp into a separate container each use. Though it comes with many parts (six nozzles, a juicing screen, a plunger and a cleaning brush) all of components are dishwasher safe and can be self-stored within the cube.

Bonus: This one comes with a 15-year warranty. That’s a lot of juicing!

5. Smeg Citrus Juicer

Not a blender, but rather a straight-up juicer, the Smeg is your perfect option for weekend brunches—fresh squeezed juices for your mimosa or screwdriver bar, minus all the handwork usually involved. We love the retro 1950s-look of this cast aluminum option (it comes red, cream and a slew of pastels, too!). Featuring an anti-drip spout and a stainless steel strainer, it’s your best bet for simplistic citrus juices.

6. Magic Bullet NutriBullet

There’s a reason the Nutribullet has more than 7,000 reviews on Amazon—it’s nearly synonymous with juices and smoothies, and thanks to its below-$100 price tag, it’s also the most affordable option on our list. Another pulverizing blender, the compact Nutribullet relies on “nutrient extraction” to break downs stems, seeds and fruit and vegetables to their most absorbable (read: nutritional) state and it does it fast, in as little as 30 seconds.

Bonus: Nutribullet’s blade twists into all the cups, meaning you blend and drink from the same cup—less mess!
