But it was what happened when the family returned to the states that things got really interesting — at least for conspiracy theorists. According to reports, immigration officials dressed in body armor searched the Kardashians' private jet in Los Angeles, and interviewed the family. Kim, Khloe, Kourtney, Kylie, Tyga, Kris, and the kids of the brood were all forced to stay aboard the plane while customs and immigration officers did their work, The Sun reports.
This all went down just a short time after President Trump announced his travel ban.
Well, although Kim's husband Kanye West is a famous fan of Trump — even meeting with him at Trump Tower prior to the inauguration — most of the family has different political viewpoints. And only days earlier, Kim had posted a tweet sharing statistics that appeared to challenge the value of the ban.
It has since been liked nearly 400,000 times, and retweeted 200,000 times.
Sister Khloe, too, had days earlier shared her feelings about the ban on social media.
She also retweeted the ACLU.
The combination of the high-profile family's political tweets with the timing of the plane's search then left fans wondering whether the two events were connected.
There is no formal evidence of a connection.
