Katy Perry has had some high-profile boyfriends in the last few years, including actor Orlando Bloom, DJ/producer Diplo and singer John Mayer. But let's cut to the chase — who was the best between the sheets?
That's what late night host James Corden wanted to know when he chatted with the pop star during a weekend-long live broadcast on her YouTube channel, an ambitious production meant to promote her new album Witness. In a game of "Spill Your Guts or Fill Your Guts," Corden offered up plates of bird saliva, a thousand year-old egg, scorpion and pickled pig's feet that she'd have to eat if she didn't answer some pretty revealing questions.
First, she got to ask James some questions, including whether he's ever sent out a dick pic. He said no, but he would if he was endowed the way some of her partners have been.
"If I had Bloom's penis, I would never be clothed!" he shouted.
That led to James asking Katy to rank Diplo, Orlando and John in the sack, which she definitely did not want to answer. "They're all amazing lovers and I would have sex with all of them when I get out of this place!" she ventured.
That wasn't enough for James, who pressed for a real order. "I think Diplo's third, because there's a reason I think that people become DJs." She meekly agreed, and then didn't fight it when James said Orlando was second and John was first.
Absent from the rankings was comedian Russell Brand, aka her ex-husband, but she did voluntarily admit feelings for someone not on Corden's list: Singer Josh Groban, who she said was "the one that got away."
Katy's weekend of livestreaming and promoting her album was packed with emotions, which came to a head in an hour-long therapy session with Dr. Siri Sat Nam Singh, host of Viceland's new buzzed-about series The Therapist. She talked about the tension between her pop persona of Katy Perry and the childlike nerdiness of her real self Katheryn Hudson, something that has even led to suicidal thoughts in the past, and was reflective of her love life.
When it comes to love, she said, "I want to show the dork and I want a dork to match." She would like to find a mate to have a child with in the future, and when it comes to finding a partner, "My love language is music so I love speaking through music and I love someone that understands music."
She also said that she's ready to move on from that infamous Taylor Swift feud.
"I am ready to let it go," Perry said during an interview on The Thrive Global Podcast on Friday. "I forgive her and I'm sorry for anything I ever did, and I hope the same from her. I think it's actually, like, I think it's time. There are bigger fish to fry, and there are real problems in the world."
