Kendall Jenner Wishes She Could Look "Hot" in Photos More Often
The model also opened up about her friendship with Gigi and Bella Hadid.
Photographer Mario Testino has a podcast series called "On the Sofa With." The short interviews feature Mario talking to models (presumably on his sofa) while he combs through old photos. And recently, it was Kendall Jenner's turn to chat about snaps of herself with the great Peruvian shutterbug.
For her first Allure cover shoot in 2015, stylists gave Kendall's hair the Janice Dickinson treatment. Inspired by the 1970s supermodel, Mario wanted his young subject to have big curls. "I love this hair; I wish more people would do it," Kendall reveals. "I love being transformed. Everyone always wants to make me by myself, because not only am I a model, but I guess I have a name, too. So people get confused—they don't know how to use me sometimes."
Another thing she'd like to do more of? "I don't get to be hot very often," Kendall told Mario, referencing a racy shoot she did for V magazine. "I love going sexual, because I never really do it." Instead, Kendall usually poses for upbeat, less edgy photos. And since she works often for American Vogue, her shoots tend to focus on clothing, rather than on the lack thereof. (Perhaps this explains her choice of attire for the Met Gala?)
The model also opened up about her friendship with Justin Bieber, whom she's known since she was a kid. And, she's also been friends with Bella Hadid longer than she's been pals with Gigi: "Bella [Hadid] and I were really good friends in high school, and we hung out every day before we started working...People don't realize that Bella and I were friends like six years ago," Kendall said.
Though she is close with Bella's big sis Gigi, the two didn't bond until they started working. Who knew? Listen to the whole podcast—and see an accompanying slideshow—here.
