When Lala Kent stopped showing up for her shifts at Sur last season on Vanderpump Rules, apparently she was at home volunteering for the Utah Humane Society — not having friends sign nondisclosure agreements so they could hang out with her boyfriend, as some (ahem, Katie Maloney) might like you to believe.
Lala’s time at the Humane Society — and at LVP’s shelter, Vanderpump Dogs, where she volunteers when she’s in Los Angeles — has made her into an animal rights activist just like her former boss … at least on her Instagram page. Lately, she’s been posting videos of Willard and Wasatech, two puppies her mother is currently fostering. Along with five other siblings, Willard and Wasatech lost their mama in a car accident when they were two weeks old. To keep them alive, Lala’s mother is feeding them with a bottle every four hours. Saint!
Although their exact parentage is unknown, Willard and Wasatech are likely a cross between a border collie and a chocolate lab. In any case, they’re absolutely adorable. And famous now, too! We love that Lala is using her social media platform to bring positive attention to the puppers and the good work that ordinary people do to save the lives of animals as well.
Lala also owns two dogs of her own — Pablo and Lilly. Lilly apparently underwent some sort of medical procedure this week — to which she rode a private jet, of course. Thoughts and prayers for Lilly.
We can’t wait to see more of Lala’s antics on Season 6 of Vanderpump Rules ... and hopefully in a spin-off show revolving around Vanderpump Dogs. (We can dream!) In the meantime, we'll have to be satified with a recap of some of our favorite photos of Pablo and Lilly from the past.
