Broker Besties: Josh Altman and Fredrik Eklund Celebrate in NYC

The #MDLLA and #MDLNY agents toast to Josh's new book, It's Your Move.

Million Dollar Listing Los Angeles' Josh Altman is currently on an East Coast excursion to promote his book, It's Your Move, and fellow agent Fredrik Eklund took some time to celebrate the newly published author. The duo was all smiles over drinks, and Josh was thrilled for the time they got to spend together — even if it was short-lived. “In [a] classic Fredrik moment, he left 20 minutes into it because the guy’s got $700 million worth of listings,” Josh toldThe Daily Dish. “Fredrik’s a very deep and emotional type of person and I definitely lack that so I love having conversations with him. Look who came to visit! So... it's Sunday and really late for me, but I just had to have a celebratory glass of wine with @thejoshaltman ... Super Moon and all. I want to say a couple of things about this photo: I'm really proud of you. Writing a book is incredibly difficult, to put yourself out there and open your heart not knowing the outcome. You can't take back writing, you have to be honest with it. You're here for book signings and press, and although I can't make it because of my upcoming Australia-trip, know that I'm with you by your side. Also know this, you come across as a tough guy on your show, but I know you differently. I've always seen the boy in you fighting your way through, up and up, and I know how hard it all can be. What's nice about your book, is that you finally show the vulnerable side of you, including all the mistakes. God knows, I fail everyday, we all do, and finally you let us in on yours. Anyway, I'm going to walk home all the way, just me and the big moon and all my thoughts about life - just know I'm proud and happy about our friendship. â¤ï¸

As for what makes their friendship work? Easy. “What’s nice about Fredrik and my relationship is we don’t compete,” Josh explained. “It’s kinda nice that we aren’t in each other’s territories so when we hang out there’s no hidden agendas, nothing. We just hang out and laugh at the whole experience we’ve had.”

“We both have an uphill battle that we just continue to outdo ourselves," he continued. "And being the top realtor in New York for him and me being the top realtor in L.A., we just have a great time when we hang out. It’s so much fun. He loves my fiancé Heather, and we love Derek, and we just have a great time.”
