According to New York Fashion Week, Headbands Are So Hot Right Now
The Fashion Week gods have spoken, and they're telling us to buy headbands.
New York Fashion Week is coming to an end and as we take a look back at the hundreds of trends to debut on the runway this season, one thing’s for sure—we’re not short on inspiration when it comes to translating these looks to our own lives. From stripes and pinks, to fashion emblazoned with political statements, manicures on one-nail-only and futuristic cat eyes, the creativity spawned from the world’s best designers clearly knows no bounds.
One trend we continued to see both on Spring and Fall 2017 catwalks was headbands. Designers like Lela Rose, Altuzarra, Adam Selman and Alice & Olivia opted to top off their models’ looks with everything from crystal-encrusted bands to some that were turban-like, and even others that were custom-created in floral patterns and faux-fur materials.
This was music to our ears (literally) as we’ve long been pro-headband here at Bravo HQ. Maybe it’s the grade school nostalgia creeping up, but there’s something wholesome (and practical!) about the accessory that we can’t get enough of. And the amazing news is that our tried-and-true headband is receiving some major love from big and small brands alike right now. Below we’ve corralled 15 cuties in every style imaginable (yep, that’s a tulle- and feather-accented fascinator down there!) in prices starting at just four bucks. Now that’s something to get excited about.
