Now You Can Buy a Piece of Trump's Stale — Er, "Vintage" — Wedding Cake From 2005

If you're into that kind of thing.

If you have an ordinary sweet tooth, you should probably go out and just buy yourself a cake — and if celebrity cakes are your thing, you could even buy one from the Kardashians' go-to bakery.

But if you are a special kind of person who has a particular fetish, er, affinity, for celebrity wedding cakes of the nostalgic variety. Here's one you might consider: A piece of 12-year-old cake from Donald and Melania Trump’s 2005 wedding is now up for auction through Julien’s Auctions. The confection, white and topped with a floral design, currently has four bids and stands at $600. It's expected to go in the $1,000 to $2,000 range.

Buyer beware: This isn't an actual piece of Donald and Melania's wedding cake. That was a seven-tier affair with a price tag of $50,000 — but it was inedible by guests because of the amount of wire required to make it stand up. So the white-iced chocolate truffle cake currently for sale was instead one of the favors guests took home at the end of the night.

Still, it would make a nice addition to your collection, which may already include a slice of Prince William and Kate Middleton's wedding cake.
