UPDATE (Nov. 27, 2017, 2:28 p.m.) Prince Harry and Meghan Markle gave their first interview as a newly-engaged couple to BBC and shared details from the proposal, as well as the story of their courtship. Prince Harry revealed that he proposed earlier this month during a casual night in at Kensington Palace, while they were preparing a roast chicken. The two also shared how they got to know each other during a camping trip to Botswana.
"And we camped out with each other under the stars... she came and joined me for five days out there, which was absolutely fantastic," Prince Harry shared.
Markle stated that she would be giving up acting in pursuit of more humanitarian work.
The actress, who is a women's advocate with the UN, said, "I don't see it as giving anything up. I see it as a change. It's a new chapter…"

The official announcement is here: Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are getting married next spring — and, boy, is the ring stunning! While it was widely suspected the two were already secretly engaged but were waiting until the new year to make the official announcement, The Prince of Wales released the statement earlier today.
The families are already sharing well wishes, from Queen Elizabeth II and her husband Prince Philip, who are "delighted" for the couple and "wish them every happiness," according to a palace spokesman, to a released statement from Meghan's parents as well.
The couple, who met via mutual friends in May 2016, will live in Nottingham Cottage at Kensington Palace, joining Kensington Palace dwellers, Prince William and Kate Middleton and their two — soon-to-be three — kids.
