The award for "Airline of the Year" was just doled out at a ceremony in Greece as part of this year's World Transportation Awards — and if you've flown a no-frills American carrier lately, you can probably guess none of those took the top prize.
So which one did? Well it was (drumroll) Qatar Airways. The airline scooped the award because of its innovation, service, hospitality, product design, and customer experience.
That all falls in line with the previous big news to come out of the company, which recently announced to much fanfare its new business class product known as QSuite.
The setup is still generating major buzz because it offers the first-ever double bed available in business. (Just imagine the options!)
It also has privacy panels that stow away, allowing passengers in adjoining seats to create their own private room.
Basically, friends, families, and colleagues can have a flying suite for working, dining, or hanging out — without those other business-class riffraff getting too close.
So you can add a new goal to your travel bucket list: flying the world's best airline, in the coolest new business-class category. (Might we also suggest a silk eye mask emblazoned "I Woke Up Like This" for your utterly enviable in-flight slumber?)
