Major Props to This Lady for Her Random Act of Kindness Toward a Desperate Mom on a Plane

...even after 2.5 hours sitting on the tarmac.

As a twin mom whose life is full of toddler-friendly glam vacations and — if I'm being honest — a lot of travel-related drudgery too, this story spoke to me and my stroller-checking, diaper-bag toting jet-set life with kiddos.

According to a post on the Love What Matters Facebook page, a mom boarded a flight with twin babies, but it was too full to accommodate her car seat, so she would have had to hold both wee ones on her lap during the flight. As unpleasant as that would have been, a flight attendant kiboshed the scenario anyway, saying such a move wouldn't be permitted and the mom would have to get off the flight.

Well, another mama overheard this conversation and (bless her heart) offered to hold one of the babies for the duration of the flight. She did just that, even stepping in to feed and burp the babe — and even though the plane ended up spending 2.5 hours just sitting on the tarmac. (Ugh.)

It actually gets better: When the helper's own daughter started to cry, mom remained calm and told the girl it's important to help others who are in need.

As storyteller Mackenzie Murphy told it in the post: "This mom, so calmly, went on to explain to her young daughter that 'our job is to help other people. This mom is all by herself with no help, and really needs another mom to help.' She then went on to hold him, sing him songs, and then he slept the entire flight without even a cry. My heart still feels fuzzy. Moral of the story is when you see people needing help, do the right thing and help them."

Amen! And props to all moms helping and inspiring moms to stay in the travel game.
