Eva Mendes and Ryan Gosling have welcomed another baby.
The couple welcomed their second daughter, Amada Lee Gosling on April 29 at 8:03 a.m. She was born in Santa Monica and joins big sister Esmerelda, 20-months-old. Amada, a Spanish variant on Amanda, was Eva’s grandmother’s name, and means “beloved” in Spanish.
On Sunday, Ryan brought Eva and Esmerelda to lunch in Los Angeles for Mother’s Day, with no sign of the new baby. Ryan also appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live on Monday to promote his new movie Nice Guys, but made no mention of the birth, instead talking about his wardrobe malfunction.
"I didn't try this suit on before I came out and I realize that it's so tight," he said. "It's wildly inappropriate. I feel like I'm going steady with these pants."
The notoriously private duo managed to keep both Eva’s pregnancies a secret for some time. The 42-year-old actress and the 35-year-old actor have been dating since 2011 after meeting on the set of The Place Beyond the Pines, which they starred in together.
Ryan spoke to Hello! in December 2015 about his family, saying of Eva, “I know that I’m with the person I’m supposed to be with…There’s nothing else I’m looking for.”
On fatherhood, he says it’s “not rocket science.”
