Salma Hayek Has Sworn Off One Very Common Beauty Treatment
We don't blame her.

When it comes to beauty, Salma Hayek has been known for her simple, quirky hacks like not washing her face in the morning or using raw honey to care for her famously healthy head of hair. However, there is one common beauty treatment the star isn't interested in.
In a recent interview with The New York Times, the Mexican beauty revealed that she doesn't dye her hair—at all. “It’s my natural color, and it’s my natural white hairs. One of the reasons I don’t dye my hair is because I don’t have the patience to sit through it. I don’t want to spend what’s left of my youth pretending I’m younger and then not enjoying life,” she said.
So in case you were searching for that pretty rose—gold hue she donned at the 2017 Cannes Film Festival, sorry to burst your bubble—but it was definitely a wig.
Overall, Salma’s hair care routine is pretty low maintenance (no $1000 haircuts over here). “I get my hair cut wherever I’m working or doing publicity and the hairdresser asks me, 'Please, please, can I cut your hair?,'” she said.
And, she’s constantly trying new products one her “curly and wild” hair. “I use Nuance hair oil to take down the frizz. Shampoo and conditioner, I change a lot. I like some Aveda ones, but I hear it’s important to keep changing your hair products. If my hair is really embarrassingly crazy, I put it in a ponytail.”
Simple yet effective. We're here for it, Salma!
