Selena Gomez Channeled Princess Kate's Ladylike Style At A Friend's Wedding
This is her Audrey Hepburn moment.
It’s been good a month to be Selena Gomez. The Netflix show she executive produced, 13 Reasons Why, is officially the most-tweeted-about show of 2017. Another major milestone: she posted her first ever couple-y Instagram ever with The Weeknd—at Coachella, no less, while she was wearing the cutest dress.
Selena kept the fashion streak going this past weekend, when she reunited with her Wizards of Waverly Place costars at actor David Henrie’s wedding in California. She went very ladylike for her wedding guest attire, with a covered-up knit gown featuring a few strategic cut-outs to keep things fresh.
Selena’s stylist Christian Classen captioned the look on Instagram: “Having an Audrey moment,” and while we definitely can see Audrey Hepburn’s refined style here, Selena’s outfit also reminds us of another style icon. Princess Kate! No wonder: the red dress is from one of Kate Middleton’s favorite designers, Emilia Wickstead.
It’s straight off the runway from fall 2017, and Selena paired it with a trusty pair of Jimmy Choos, minimal jewelry besides Jennifer Fisher hoops, and a braided updo.
Emilia Wickstead seems like a perfect choice for wedding guests everywhere, and now Vogue reports that the London-based designer is launching a line for brides too. The 10-piece line is completely streamlined, with simple yet bold silhouettes and zero fuss. Minimalist brides, you may have just found your dream dress.
