Celebrate Adopt-a-Shelter-Dog Month by Letting Your Dog Bite Sia’s Wig Off

I’m gonna bark at the chandelier, the chandelierrrrrrrrrrr.

October is Adopt-a-Shelter-Dog Month and we know exactly how you are celebrating. You are going to the shelter every single day after work and adopting another cute pooch to bring home to the gaggle of loving dogs that prance all over your multi-acre dog sanctuary. Okay, you probably can’t do that due to both financial limitations and anti-pet hoarding laws— but we have the next best thing you can do instead— buy your dog this new Sia-inspired Bark dog toy!

In honor of Adopt a Shelter Dog Month, Sia has teemed up with Bark to produce a “Lickalike” dog toy. Bark is the perfect match for Sia; they know her music so much that they’ve even given the toy the subheading of “1, 2, 3... 1, 2, 3, SQUEAK!” The squeak toy in question mirrors Sia’s signature look, complete with shreddable wig, which is perfect if you’ve ever hoped to see your pup snatch a wig like she’s Shereé Whitfield confronting Kim Zolciak-Biermann in a restaurant parking lot. If the cosplay possibilities weren’t enough, all profits of the toy go to the Recovery Road Fund at Animal Haven in New York City too! The proceeds will finance the extra medical care some animals need before they find their forever homes.

It’s no surprise that Sia is involved with this project because she is a first class dog lover, and that is putting it lightly. In her own words, Sia says of her passion for pups, “I love dogs. I have dogs. I got dogs. I am a dog lover. I’m a dog lady dogging it up.” She has three of her own rescue dogs: Lick-Lick Science, Cereal and Pantera. Her dog lady status extends outside the home as well; the vegan, PETA activist has been involved with multiple anti-breeding campaigns and was a supporter of the Beagle Freedom Project, performing at their gala. She even has a mobile dog adoption fair before her concerts!

Sia’s commitment to her dogs, all the dogs of the world and to wacky dog names is an inspiration to us all. Our only complaint about Sia is that she seems to have started hiding her dogs from social media when she started hiding her face. However we are hopeful that she will convince Maddie Ziegler dress up like her and take Lick-Lick Science on a walk and maybe put the picture on Twitter one day. Come on Sia, throw us a bone!

1-2-3, 1-2-3, SQUEAK! 🐶 #barkwithsia
