Ramona Singer: I'm the Voice of Reason

The longest-running RHONY star reveals how she's changed.

Ramona Singer is now officially the longest-running star on RHONY, and ever since fans met her on the small screen back in 2008, the Turtle Time enthusiast has delivered plenty of dramatic, memorable moments. ("Take a Xanax, calm dowwwwwwn!," anyone?)

With Season 6 now in full swing, Ramona says fans can expect to see a different side of her now. "I am the voice of reason this season," she tells the Examiner. "I've matured a lot, and people are going to see a different side of me, and not to say that I'm not spunky, I still have my 'Turtle Time' with my Ramona Pinot Grigio for sure!"

Ramona says she's softer and more tender this season—especially now that her beloved daughter Avery has gone off to college. "It's very emotional for me to have Avery leaving for school, and I think a lot of the viewers will be able to relate to that," she says.

Perhaps most compelling about Season 5 were Ramona's feuds with Aviva Drescher. And she says she has no regrets about her actions: "I was very happy the way I was in Season 5, I was very true to me. I normally walk away when people are yelling at me, and the oner imd I did stay was when Aviva verbally abused me at the tea, I couldn't even believe I stayed there that long."

While Ramona and Aviva have come along way—they've attempted to reconcile over (what else?) tequila shots this season—Ramona admits that the Leggy Blonde author isn't completely in her good graces. "I get that forgiveness is very important, but sometimes just because I forgive, doesn't mean that I can accept you as a person in my life," she says. "You can forgive them, and while you do that, you may have to change your relationship with them."

The same can't be said about Ramona's friendship with her bestie Sonja Morgan. And while Ramona reveals there is plenty of drama between the two this season, it comes from a good place. "We're like sisters," she says. "We fight like cats and dogs, and we love each other to death. We have disagreements that get really heated sometimes, but when it's over, we're over it and we move on. We're like an old married couple."
