If you’re taking your workout outdoors this winter, bravo! It’s hard enough for us to motivate to get to a yoga class on a blustery winter day, so the fact that you’re strapping on your sneakers and heading outside for a run, cycle or hike…well, color us impressed.

Finding the best outerwear for these fickle winter climes, however, can be a tricky assignment—some super-thin shells are better suited for springtime temps, while too-warm down jackets can leave you dripping in sweat by the end of your workout.
