As a working mother of two, Gwyneth Paltrow understands how challenging it can be to whip up home-cooked meals during the week. That's why her brand-new cookbook is called It's All Easy: Delicious Weekday Recipes for the Super-Busy Home Cook.
So E! Online decided to do a little math, to figure out how much an average week of eating the Gwyneth way would cost. They analyzed the price breakdown of buying a week's worth of groceries to make some of the simple recipes from her cookbook, selecting dishes like chicken enchiladas, bacon avocado toast, turkey meatloaf and salmon skewers. The total cost? Around $470 for a week.
What's shocking is that this feels like a fairly reasonable number, especially since many of these meals can feed more than one person. Is this really what Gwyneth spends on food in a week? The answer is, emphatically, no. At least based on what her Instagram account tells us.
Since we know the busy celebrity is regularly jet-setting around the world for business and pleasure, you'll need to come up with a little more than $470 a week if you really want to eat like her. You'll need to establish a sizable travel budget so you can zip around, sipping wine in Argentina, drinking coffee in New York City and scarfing pasta in San Francisco.
The cost of all that awesome eating and drinking? Priceless.
