Who Has Julie Klausner "Disinvited" from 'Difficult People' Season 2?

The show's star and Bravo superfan shares what's next for the series.

That's a wrap! As Hulu's original series, Difficult People, ends its first season on Wednesday (September 16), its leading funny lady, Julie Klausner, made sure she closed things out on a high note. "I mean, it's exciting that we have a Christmas episode, and I did that on purpose. I thought if we're going to be canceled after this season, I'm going out with a Christmas episode damn it!" she told The Daily Dish. "And I wrote an original song with Ted Leo for it and I hope people like that."

Lucky for fans, Difficult People isn't going anywhere. The show, which also stars Billy Eichner, was picked up for a second season last month and the team is already hard at work. "We have two episodes stories written out and we're working on a third right now," Julie shared. She already has a guest star wish list. "I would love to have anyone who will do it honestly," she joked. "I'm just excited to work with people that I've admired, like Paul Giamatti would be great. Allison Janney would be great. Michael Shannon would be a dream come true. These are dream guests, I'm not necessarily talking to them."

Not that Season 1 has been short of A-listers. Everyone from Seth Meyers to Andy Cohen has made a cameo. And, in case you're wondering, Andy may not be allowed back next time around. "Yes, [he's] disinvited. No, I'm just kidding," she said. "If he shows up, I'll throw a prosthetic leg at him. His dog [Wacha] is invited. That dog is so handsome I can't even stand it." Agreed, Julie.

Here's Julie and Billy on WWHL earlier this summer.
