You’ll Probably See This Surprising Shade All Over #NYFW

Elle Woods was way ahead of her time.

New York Fashion Week is here, and the season's big trends are on everyone’s minds. For starters, it seems that the same color has been top of mind for a lot of celebrities lately--and it’s not anything you’d expect for this time of year.

Pink popped up all over fall runways in shades of dusty rose, ballet pink and rose gold, but what’s really surprising is the number of celebs who have been spotted in shocking hot pink. Here's how four style stars rocked the bright hue.

1. Jessica Alba

Jessica Alba beat the heat in a tailored v-neck, hot-pink, ankle-length dress by Narciso Rodriguez. She accented the frock with a sunnies with a bright-pink sheen, and a roomy navy blue bag. The entire combination screams “busy mogul and mom on the go.” It’s feminine, but not frivolous.

2. Reese Witherspoon

Jessica's pal Reese caught up on her weekend reading in hot pink d’orsay pumps. Knowing Reese, the rest of her outfit (not pictured) most likely had a preppy bend. After all, hot pink is a super popular color among the prep set, of which Reese is the Absolute Queen. (It was also a big hit with one of her signature characters, Elle Woods.) Between the girly pumps and the palm-printed ottoman, this look is totally on brand for the sweet southern belle.

3. Shannon Beador

Shannon Beador got in on the trend out in Orange County, giving the hue a California-cool vibe. The feng shui savant paired the color with some big, bold floral bling. It’s an adventurous look that totally speaks to where Shannon is in her life--ready to have some fun!

4. Rosie Huntington-Whiteley

And finally, supermodel Rosie Huntington-Whiteley was truly shocking in head-to-toe Balmain at the recent premiere of fiance Jason Statham’s film Mechanic Resurrection. She’s no delicate English rose here. The look is daring and combines so many trends at once, such as chokers, an off-the- shoulder silhouette, leg slits, and nautical details–-but it absolutely works. She is a supermodel, after all.

Four celebs all sporting this comeback color can’t be a coincidence. Look out for it during #NYFW on your favorite celebrities, and start devising your own hot-pink style memo.
