5 Things We Learned About Tish and Brandi Cyrus That Made Us Love Them Even More

When fans think about the Cyrus family, interior design may not be the first thing that pops into their mind—but that's about to change. Brandi and Tish Cyrus are true renaissance women. Tish manages her daughters' Miley and Noah's insanely successful careers, and Brandi runs a style blog and DJs. But though they're busy, an exclusive interview with Bravotv.com proves interior design has always been a passion, and they have the experience to back it.

"I started loving interior design when we moved to Nashville, and Billy Ray and I bought a log cabin," says Tish. "I had time on my hands since the kids were little. I started decorating our house, and I actually just fell in love with the whole process. I’d really never designed a home before, so I met a lot of interior designers here in Nashville just by going and buying furniture, things like that. I really just learned from them."

How Would Brandi and Tish Cyrus Describe Their Design Aesthetic?

"My design style is really a reflection of my fashion style, which is what I started in, working in fashion," says Brandi. "For me, I’ve always loved style, because I’ve always loved dressing different and being unique and maybe wearing stuff no one else would wear, and I feel like that really carries over into my same taste in interior design."

What Is the Biggest Design Mistake Brandi and Tish Seeing Clients Making?

"Literally, every couple of years, because she loves to do it, [my mom] has redone her own house over and over and over and over and always in a completely different way," Brandi tells Bravotv.com. If that isn't proof that Tish has a passion for interior design, we don't know what is!

What About the Other Cyrus Family Members?

"Once Miley got old enough to get a house, she redid Miley’s houses every few years," says Brandi. "And once I got to have an apartment, she decked the whole thing out for me and all my roommates, and we were so pumped." Tish, want to be our mom, too?

"Miley is crazy, and a lot of the things she does are things that should not make any sense to be in houses," says her older sister, Brandi. "And a lot of times when you first hear what she’s going to do, we’re like, ‘Oh gosh.’ And then you see it, and you’re like ‘Wow, that is really, really cool.’ She’s very creative, she does things no one else would do, and the last house that she’s just moved into she redid completely on her own, and I was so surprised at how much I loved it." 

Tish agrees and say, "I mean, the whole house is a piece of art."

Does that mean Miley might be joining their design team in the future?
