Although Brandi Cyrus wasn't chosen as lead designer of this week's redesign, we can't stop thinking about her vision for an over-the-top truly unique fireplace. It certainly met the clients' requests for something glam, but unfortunately it didn't have the rustic vibe they were also hoping for. Below is a Modsy render of Brandi's idea.
Not only does the lack of mantle make the fireplace look more modern, but the glittery finish gives it a major wow factor.
Here's the design Tish Cyrus pitched. Her fireplace has a simple wood mantle and is covered in two different types of tile.
