Brielle Biermann Wants to "Detach" Herself From Kim Zolciak-Biermann with Dark Brown Hair
"“I’m just trying to differentiate myself a little bit," the Don't Be Tardy cast member said of her new look.
Brielle Biermann is no stranger to switching up her look. In the last few months alone, she removed her lip fillers, went from blonde to brunette, and, most recently, debuted a new, even darker hair color. But it turns out there’s a reason behind her revamped appearance. The Don’t Be Tardy cast member, who bears more than a passing resemblance to mom Kim Zolciak-Biermann, says she’s “trying to detach” herself from being looked at as “little Kim” and instead find her own identity.
On February 19, Brielle took to Instagram to show off the results of her latest visit to go-to hairstylist, Chrissy Rasmussen. As can be seen in the picture below, the eldest Biermann sibling made a noticeable change, taking her previously light chestnut brown hair to a darker, nearly black espresso shade.
So what exactly inspired the new ‘do? “I’m just trying to differentiate myself a little bit,” Brielle recently told People.
The 22-year-old and her mom have always drawn comparisons to each other, sharing not only a physical resemblance, but also a similar sense of style. But Brielle says she’s ready to set herself apart.
“It’s always been like, ‘Oh, little Kim.’ That’s who I am. I look just like my mom. Always have,” she explained. “I mean she’s gorgeous, but somebody’s got to start looking a little different at some point. The dark hair gives me a different identity. I’m trying to detach myself from [being] Kim’s daughter and be my own person.”
Kim, for her part, seems to be supporting her daughter’s new look. “So damn beautiful,” she wrote in the comments of this recent Instagram photo.
And we have to agree! If there’s one thing this experimentation is proving, it’s that Brielle can truly pull off any hair color.
