The Hamptons episode is probably my favorite. By the time we went on our trip, we all were getting along and felt comfortable with each other. Sometimes being in the city can get a little bit claustrophobic, so it felt good to get away.
I loved getting to see Amy's items at Pierre's. It was so fun to do the consignment out of the store. It's true, at times I get overly excited when I see something that I personally love -– like that Alberta Ferretti skirt and the Moschino pumps in my size (we all know I have trouble finding my size after last week's episode)! Certain items trigger each one of us and we all can get carried away with items we love. . .like Karina going crazy over the Chanel bag last week. Meeting up with Amy was definitely worth our while and we walked away with great pieces for the store.
I couldn't grasp the concept of the van parked on the vineyard, but I must say, I was impressed. The girl had chosen gorgeous items from all over the world.
Of course, I was saddened by the fact that I couldn't afford anything, and, after a couple of glasses of wine, I confided in Karina about how obsessed I am with shopping. It's true; since a young age I have had this little sickness. Although I've never had any problems with credit card debt, I will say that Saks Fifth Avenue usually makes it impossible for me to have any kind of savings account. Whenever I have cash, I run right over to Fifth Avenue and spend it, because in New York, of course I have to be wearing Lanvin. As if! I need to work on this habit, but being so close with clients on a daily basis who do have the ability to shop seriously can make this worse. I am fully aware that there are so many less fortunate than I in the world. It's definitely important that I keep myself in check once in a while.
However, it's safe to say that as long as I'm living in New York City I will definitely keep salivating, spending, and then ultimately. . .starving.
