Picture a lively, buzzing, energetic yet totally relaxed dinner party, with the most delicious food and wine served in a magical setting. Gorgeous views, perfect weather, sparkling conversation: Where would a party like that happen? And who would be there?
We have a hunch it would look a lot like the dinner event in Going Off the Menu Episode 105, in which hosts Liza DeGuia and Russell Jackson are charged with giving Million Dollar Listing Los Angeles's Josh Flagg (pictured below, right) a unique dining experience that will truly impress him. Josh, in typical fashion, is looking for that unexpected je ne sais quoi, and he shoots down every idea that Liza and Russell come up with. Except for the chance to attend an ultra-exclusive dinner party on a Beverly Hills rooftop, with an eclectic mix of guests he’s never met.
To some, that would sound like the recipe for a fun night full of surprises; to others, it would sound like sheer torture. But anyone who gets a look at the place where this dinner party goes down, and what’s on the menu, is likely to weep with envy. Even Josh, the most seen-it-all real estate agent in L.A., is gawking from the moment as he gets there.
Did we mention the food? From a gorgeous dish involving a 62-degree egg with shaved truffles and black garlic to a creamy-sweet burratta with uni and chili oil to a miso-glazed black cod, we wanted to bust through the screen and be there in person.
But would we get past the interview required to get into one of these dinners?
