Peacocks Are the Official Spirit Animal of 2018

Peacocks Are the Official Spirit Animal of 2018

These decor designs prove peacocks deserve the title.

By Katherine Kluznik

Peacocks have always been the show-offs of the animal world, but right now they're really in the spotlight. You can spy them everywhere. I'm talking all kinds of unexpected places — like perching on golden candlesticks, for example, or painting their kaleidoscopic plumage over a pair of throw pillows. You can even spot them displaying their tail feathers on bedding and posing for wall-art portraits.

And because I love a little unabashed glamour, I’m happy to call the bird my official spirit animal for 2018. After all, just a glance at the peacock’s show of bright feathers brightens up my mood. It makes sense, then, that they would do the same for my space. Consider a set of peacock plates to instantly energize a snoozy tablescape, or a plume-printed carpet to liven up a living room... or, well, any of the peacock-inspired accents ahead.
