How Is Jax Taylor Doing Since His Dad's Passing?

In the weeks since Jax Taylor's dad lost his battle with cancer, the SUR bartender has certainly been feeling the love and support of his friends, who have rallied around him since Ronald Cauchi's death last month. Jax recently gathered up his BFFs and headed off to Michigan to honor his late dad. And now we're getting some more insight from those who know Jax best about how he is doing in the wake of his family tragedy.

The Daily Dish spoke to Lisa Vanderpump this week, who said she has reached out to Jax since his dad died, but has yet to hear back from him. She added, "I know his father was a huge influence on his life and I hope that he will go on and honor his father's memory and be the man that he's capable of being." Jax first revealed the news of his father's illness in December, later confirming to The Daily Dish that he had been diagnosed with stage IV cancer "in his throat, his esophagus" about two months prior. Jax's father had gone through multiple rounds of treatment during his battle with cancer. Katie Maloney-Schwartz recently spoke to Us Weekly about her Vanderpump Rules pal, adding, “Each day is its own. I think he’s just going from one day at a time. Tom went and saw him last Saturday in Florida and went to the funeral. He said that Jax’s just going from hyperventilating, crying, to be being fine. I think he’s becoming a little stronger each day, but it’s just … I can’t even imagine what it’s like to lose a parent and to know that his dad was his hero and one of his best friends. He admired him so much and of course I reached out to Jax and talked to him a little bit. I know he’s been with family and friends.”
