Unless you've been living under a rock the past week, you've probably heard of Wakanda, the fictional East African nation in which the hit movie Black Panther is set.
Though the record-breaking film — which stars a predominately black cast and boasts an impressive 97 percent score on Rotten Tomatoes — was just released on Friday, February 16, if its $200 million opening weekend is any indication, it has already captured the hearts of many. (And yes, you better believe Hollywood has taken major notice of the bottom line, too.)
Among those feeling the hype? Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport, which teased a flight to Wakanda.
On Monday, February 19, the airport tweeted a photo of a screen with boarding information for flight ATL1234 with service to — you guessed it! — Wakanda.
Atlanta's airport is one of the busiest in the country, so we're not surprised they are getting a bit galactic and otherwordly with their flight schedule. Though this particular spot may be a bit complicated to reach IRL considering Wakanda isn't actually a real destination.
While Atlanta's airport was obviously kidding around with the tweet, others on Twitter were excited to play along and chime in with great questions. Included in the fun was actress Lupita Nyong'o, who plays Nakia in the film.
Sigh. If only, right? Here's the the good news: Many scenes of Wakanda were shot in the Atlanta area, according to AJC.com. So! If you want to go to Wakanda, you should consider flying to Atlanta, rather than from it.
