In 2018, Disneyland is really proving itself to be the "happiest place on earth." Not only did its first lady Minnie Mouse just get her own star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. The theme park is also set to get its first brewery by the end of this year. That's right: You can now get a little bit tipsy before riding Space Mountain (you know: roller coaster nerves) or even offer to buy Goofy a drink.
Here's what we know so far: Ballast Point Brewing will open the brewery in late 2018, and it will occupy a whopping 7,300 square feet in the Downtown Disney District.
The space will comprise a three-barrel brewery, a restaurant, a tasting room, and a beer garden.
If you're Ballast Point nerd, know that all your faves — we're talking Sculpin IPA, the Dorado, and other brews — will be on hand. Plus, the spot will serve up custom, limited-edition sips.
The menu will focus on seasonal, California-style fare, and some recipes will incorporate Ballast Point beer. The one thing missing will be booster chairs: As you may have guessed, this brewery is only open to guests who are 21 years old and up.
Though Ballast Point has six other locations in California, the new spot will mark its first outpost in Orange County. This just begs the question: Will The Real Housewives of Orange County pals abandon The Quiet Woman for this Mickey-approved brewery?
