Kandi & Todd Share an Update on the "Eternal Renovation" of Their Atlanta Home
Kandi & The Gang's Kandi Burruss and Todd Tucker are making major changes to their property and, yes, "It's a mess."
In 2019, Kandi Burruss revealed she was "remodeling" her Atlanta home, and much to her dismay, the house is still a work in progress three years later. "We didn't renovate. We are still renovating," the Kandi & The Gang boss recently told Bravo Insider. "We are in a terrible place of eternal renovation."
While Todd Tucker blames the delayed process on "dealing with contractors and all that craziness," Kandi's list of renovation-related struggles runs a bit longer: "Starting conversations with people [who are] supposed to do certain things, they never do it, or we get so busy, we get caught up with something else, we get another project, we start putting all our efforts into that," she said. "You know, it's just a million different things."
In summary, Kandi declared: "It's a mess."
Although The Real Housewives of Atlanta couple once "thought about building a new house," they ultimately decided to transform their current home instead. "We had bought this land, and we were gonna go and build another house over there," Kandi recalled. "But then we [were] like, it would cost us so much money to build something bigger or nicer than the one that we had. So, he's like, 'Why don't we just build a subdivision on that land that we bought and renovate the house we're in?'"
As for when the new-and-improved property may finally be complete? Well, Kandi quipped, "Don't hold us to a timeline."
