The actress may have been hoarse, but she still used her voice for the #TimesUp movement.

After Show: Anne Hathaway on ‘Ocean’s Eight’ Camaraderie

The red carpet at the 2018 Golden Globes was awash with black. Actresses and actors alike donned the somber hue to reflect their solidarity with the Time's Up movement, which is a powerful initiative aimed at ending abuse and harassment in Hollywood and other industries.

And though Anne Hathaway didn't join her fellow industry pros on the event's red carpet, she still dressed up to show her support for the cause — even though she had the sniffles.

The Oceans 8 actress was actually sick in bed during the January 7 broadcast of the show. But, she still took to social media to show off her statement-making black look. Unlike Reese Witherspoon, Hathaway didn't have a custom-made ebony look from Zac Posen. But, she wore her black nightie with swagger.

Flashing a peace sign, the makeup-free actress showed off her makeshift look with a quick note for her fellow activists. "In Solidarity from my sick bed," she wrote, showcasing an arm filled with colorful bracelets. (So, it's not Bulgari. But we're totally digging the look.)

On the red carpet, actresses such as Tracee Ellis Ross, Jessica Biel, and Issa Rae, among countless others, also adopted the politically fueled dress code.

Kudos to these boldface names for spreading awareness about an important cause! And if looking chic is a side effect of speaking up, we'll take it.
