Gwyneth Paltrow's Massive Engagement Ring Is Not the Color We Expected It to Be

In case you missed it, Gwyneth Paltrow is engaged to Glee co-creator Brad Falchuk, and the bride-to-be is positively radiant. Sure, the Goop mogul's glow could have to do with the infrared saunas and the fermented foods she swears by. (Girlfriend knows how to get her well-being on!) But, Paltrow's also getting a little help in the shine department from a few new carats that are decking her ring finger. 

On January 20, the actress wore her engagement bling to the Producers Guild Awards at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Los Angeles. Wearing a striking red gown from Alex Perry's pre-fall collection, Paltrow sported a massive — and bright blue! — ring.

The jewel's unusual color is hard to miss, and it suddenly has us thinking: what's so great about diamonds, anyway? (This could be a moment of temporary insanity, but such is the power of Paltrow's bling.) Take a peek at the bauble, below.

Paltrow's ring isn't the only beautifully modern thing about her second engagement. The actress' ex-husband, Coldplay front man Chris Martin, seems to be like this with his ex-wife's new beau.
