I was excited when Tyson introduced us to Howard the underwater photographer because I am familiar with his work and I am so honored to have shot with him. I have done underwater modeling before so I felt so confident about my chances of winning the photo challenge. Working with Howard was not what I expected because he was such a sweet, soft spoken person and gave a lot of direction. I’m used to photographers allowing me to be free and creative with my poses. I feel that I gave a good performance and could have done better.
When Nicole brought our books over I was not excited to see the photo because I knew it wasn’t one of my best shoots. When I opened up my book I was in shock to see how bad the photo was. I immediately knew that I would be in the bottom this week so I have to bring my “A” game on the catwalk. Though I have a bad picture this week I know I deserve to still be in the competition and it’s important I show the judges that.
I am so nervous about eliminations today because I may be in the bottom three. I am trying to stay positive and not focus on the negatives like my bad picture.
Thank you Jesus. I’m safe this week.
Standing there in the bottom three was an awful feeling and I never want to be there again. I am walking into next week with a lot of pressure on my back because the judges said this week would be my first and final warning. It was upsetting to hear Marlan say that because there were other individuals that were given more than three, four chances to prove themselves.
You know what? It’s OK because this is a great learning experience for me because I see that in this industry there may be opportunities when you are given only one chance so I have to give 100% each and every time. Though it hurts to hear Marlan say that, it made me a smarter and better model.
