Inside Al Manzo's Incredible 60th Birthday Celebration at Home with His Family
Of course, the family fete thrown for Caroline Manzo's husband featured extravagant balloons and a mouth-watering meal.
It seems no Manzo party is complete without over-the-top balloons and an enviable spread. Naturally, Al Manzo's 60th birthday celebration at home with his family was no exception.
Lauren Manzo Scalia shared a series of videos to her Instagram Story on Monday, April 20, showing the Manzo'd with Children family's dining room which was decked out with chic birthday decor in honor of her father's big day. Above a black, gold, and silver bouquet of balloon hearts, gold and silver balloon letters spelled out, "Happy Birthday Pop Pop." On the other side of the room, a massive balloon mosaic forming the number 60 featured the same color scheme.
In addition to more balloons around the room, the space was also decorated with sweet family photos placed on the windows.
Of course, the family, who has been self-isolating together amid the coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak, had a mouth-watering meal prepared for the big day. As seen in Lauren's Instagram Stories, they cooked pastrami in the oven for seven hours to serve for the celebratory meal. In case the home-cooked dish wasn't enough, it seems the family also brought in White Castle, as a basket filled with a variety of takeout boxes from the restaurant chain was prominently placed on their table.
While Caroline Manzo has yet to share snaps from the celebration, she did take to Instagram to wish her love a happy birthday. "Happy 60th birthday ALBERT! He is a gentle giant, a man of very few words, and has a heart of gold," she wrote. "He’s a loyal friend, dedicated son, brother, husband, dad, and PopPop. We are blessed to call you ours. We love you endlessly."
Lauren also posted a series of snaps with her father and her daughter, Markie, writing: "Thank you for being the best father and pop pop in the world. I thank god everyday for making me your little girl[.] I love you forever!"
The extravagant birthday decor for the family gathering comes as no surprise. For Markie's third birthday in February, the family gathered at their restaurant The Brownstone, which they had decked out with Mickey and Minnie Mouse balloon characters, a table of mouse-themed gift bags and cake, and a giant black and red balloon arch. At the time, Lauren modestly captioned a video of the room: “Small bday dinner for my baby."
