Albie and Chris Manzo Are Partnering on an Exciting New Venture
The new project combines "our love for hospitality and our years at the Brownstone," Albie said of the Manzo'd with Children brothers' latest venture.
Chris Manzo and Albie Manzo are ready to make their mark on yet another iconic New Jersey location.
According to Page Six, the Manzo'd with Children brothers have partnered with Asbury Park's Berkeley Oceanfront hotel to redo the venue’s catering space, outdoor terrace, and poolside bar and lounge. Additionally, they plan to work on a restaurant at the venue that will feature indoor and outdoor dining at a later date.
“We’re honored to be a part of revitalizing one of the Jersey Shore’s longest-standing and iconic hotels,” Albie told Page Six. “We’ve been given creative license to transform The Berkeley’s venues into something truly unique, combining our love for hospitality and our years at the Brownstone. We’re excited to share our vision with travelers headed to the Shore this summer and beyond.”
In terms of business, this year has been a particularly exciting one for Chris. In January, various members of his family, who own and operate The Brownstone, shared their joy over his Hoboken restaurant Tenth Street Pasta & Pizza's rave review from Barstool Sports. "Proudest sister ever!" Lauren Manzo Scalia wrote at the time, while Caroline Manzo added: "So proud of my boy [Chris Manzo] for the amazing 8.6 rating [Tenth Street] received from [Barstool Sports] - thank you!"
Over at the Brownstone, the family has shifted to takeout and delivery services for the first time in 40 years due to the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. Caroline shared the news in an April Instagram post, writing: "We appreciate all of you and want you to stay healthy and safe during this unprecedented time."
