Dr. Jackie to Husband Curtis Seeing Him For the First Time: "How Do You Fix Humiliation?"

Dr. Jackie Walters began the fifth season of Married to Medicine with a shocking revelation: her husband Curtis Berry had cheated. And while we have watched Curtis send gifts to get back in her good graces, we have not - and Dr. Jackie has not - seen the doctor's husband in the flesh. That is, until now. It seems that the Black Girl Magic trip to NOLA was pretty magical as it allowed Dr. Jackie to open her heart and her door to Curtis in the spirit of forgiveness. Watch above as the estranged couple comes face to face for the first time.
As we see in the clip above, forgiveness isn't always easy. "Things don't fix the problem, " Jackie says to his gifts flowers and bags. Curtis explains, "It wasn't done to fix the problem, it was done to let you know I'm thinking about you. I miss you, I think about you all the time, I love you. I want my family, I want you. I know that's asking a lot right now under the circumstances, but I want to find a way to fix it. " Jackie's reply? "How do you fix humiliation?" She then went on to compare this trauma to the passing of her father, having breast cancer, and infertility, saying that this "tops them all." It seems like these two have quite a lot of work ahead of them...
But what we also see above is that it isn't over for these two. Despite what some of the other Married to Medicine husbands have said, Curtis is fully accountable for his part in the separation. He said, "There's probably a lot of things that I took for granted with you, that I probably shouldn't have, and I'll obviously take the blame. I'll take the responsibility. So I know it's a lot, so think about it." As we found out earlier this season, it is his ability to take that blame that endeared himself back to Dr. Jackie in the first place. "I'm not making any promises but let's just kick it here," the OBGYN stated. "I'm not ready to go out and face the world."
