Would Dr. Simone Whitmore Move In With Her Son Michael to Keep His Studies On Track In College?

On the April 4 episode of Married to Medicine, Dr. Simone Whitmore had an event that she's been getting ready for all season: Her son Michael headed off to Lee University in Tennessee.

How to Watch

Watch Married to Medicine Sundays at 9/8c on Bravo and streaming on Peacock and the Bravo App.

In earlier episodes, Simone had prepared for Michael's move through going-away parties, heart-to-heart talks, and a dorm-room shopping trip for two. But in the most recent episode, Michael finally packed his bags and headed off on his next adventure — and both mother and son had feelings.

In a joined interview with his mama, the basketball player joked: "I definitely won't miss her yelling at me," as he pointed his thumb at Simone. But then, he sweetly added: "I'm gonna miss the hugs. I'm gonna miss the love and laughing," he confessed. "The 'Need some cash?' I'm gonna miss that!"

After the family's two-hour drive to Lee University (see the road trip in the clip above), the episode offered a peek inside Michael's dorm room. The newly minted college student made his bed with a little unsolicited help from his mom, and he had a desk and bookshelves by his bedside.

"I'm gonna miss you," Simone said later when the family headed to lunch. But then she confessed: "The one thing I am gonna is enjoy is now, when the cleaning people come, and they clean up your room, it's clean!"

In her interview, she got a bit more sentimental. "There are so many things that I am going to miss about having Michael around ... But the two most important things are my hugs and the exchange of I love you every day."
