Toya Bush-Harris Celebrated Her 44th Birthday with Tequila and 3 Cakes
The Married to Medicine mom had an indulgent 44th birthday bash.
Throughout her time in self-quarantine, Toya Bush-Harris has been staying active. She's taken dips in the pool at her lavish Atlanta estate, and she's spent plenty of time on the tennis quarts. But when her 44th birthday rolled around on April 15, the Married to Medicine mama had a day of pure indulgence.
After showing off her spread on Instagram Stories, Toya vowed: "When I tell you I'm working out tomorrow, I promise y'all, I'm going to post me doing tennis tomorrow ... and I'm gonna do tennis tomorrow for two hours." But before then, there were French fries and three cakes to eat, as well as sweet presents to open.
To kick off her birthday Stories, the Atlanta mom shared: "Well, it's my birthday, and it's an amazing day. I started it off with Starbucks, and they sang to me, guys! " Showing a collection of presents and bright flowers on her dining room table, she added: "And, I have not opened any of these yet, but these were all on my doorstep this morning! ... Look, someone remembered my favorite flowers. And I got some great Starbucks cards ... and look: I got a balloon in the mail, I gotta blow it up myself. Thanks, mom," she said, laughing. (To be fair, it's hard to ship an inflated balloon from Detroit.)
The business whiz also detailed her birthday menu. "We have already finished off some Veuve, so we're going to move onto something white ... I think that will compliment some crab's legs right? Oh no, maybe we should move onto a margarita." While she debated her next sip, Toya moved into the kitchen to show her husband Eugene in an apron, hard at work.
"I'm making some grilled crabs legs, and I'm making some chicken wings," the doctor announced. He also made homemade French fries, replete with fried onions. "Y'all wanna see my birthday cakes? I got three!" Toya said next. "Eugene got me a carrot cake ... and then my friend ... made me an amazing German chocolate cake from scratch."
Finally, it was onto nightcaps from a bright-pink bottle of tequila cream. "I'm just sayin': It's amazing," she said of the sweet tipple. "It's a great birthday gift. It is a tequila liqueur." Let's all raise a virtual pink glass to Toya — and try onions in our next batch of French fries.
