See Inside Steve Gold’s Ultra Modern Chelsea Apartment
The Million Dollar Listing New York broker and his family have set up house in a sought-after Zaha Hadid-designed building.
Steve Gold has one fabulous new apartment to show off — and it’s not one he’s selling. The Million Dollar Listing New York broker recently bought an apartment in the uber-cool Chelsea building that was designed by the late superstar architect Zaha Hadid. Luckily for us, Steve is now opening his doors and giving us a look.
The ultra-modern abode boasts floor-to-ceiling windows in just about every room and curves everywhere you look. “This is probably the craziest window I’ve ever seen in a development in New York,” notes Steve, as he opened one of the massive curving windows (which is motorized for ease of use). “There are curved walls, curved soffits in the ceiling, it’s really a beautiful way of melding the interior and exterior together.”
The two-bed, two-and-a-half bath home is just under 1,700 square feet. So it’s more than enough room for Steve, his girlfriend, Luiza Gawlowska, and baby daughter Rose. (Check out her adorable nursery here!) There’s even room for a king-sized bed in the luxe master suite and one of the most coveted New York luxuries of all: a full-sized washing machine and dryer. The sleek bathrooms feature wall-to-wall marble and a soaking tub, and the mod kitchen is layered with marble as well.
But let’s talk amenities. “The amenities package here is unlike anything I’ve seen for a boutique building,” says Steve. There's a 70-foot saline lap pool, a spa suite equipped with massage tables, a Jacuzzi and a cold plunge, a huge gym with Peloton and Pilates equipment, and, oh yes, a private IMAX theater. If we lived there, I'm not sure we'd ever want to leave!
