Would You Rent Donald Trump's Childhood Home as an NYC Crash Pad? (Now You Can)

It's not especially fancy.

When it comes to selecting vacation lodgings, research shows that some people (especially in America) are still enticed, or at least undaunted, by the Trump name; others say they’re staying away from hotels bearing that famous moniker. So this idea isn’t for everyone — but now you can book Donald Trump’s childhood home in New York City for a vacation rental.

Yes, the president’s home in Queens is now listed on Airbnb, for $725 per night.

"In 1946, Donald Trump was born to Fred and Mary Trump, and brought home to Jamaica Estates. Here they lived, in a home built by Fred himself. This is their home," according to the listing, which was reported by Time.

And it’s certainly a place for his fans, because it comes with a cardboard cutout bearing Trump’s resemblance for photo opps. (Desecration, presumably, would result in forfeiture of your security deposit.)

However, the home is not super fancy, per se — not like Trump Tower, or even like the White House, which Trump reportedly described as a “dump.”

"Not much has been changed since the Trumps lived here," according to the listing. For instance, the kitchen is original.

The house has room for 20 guests in five bedrooms, and with 3.5 baths.

In March, a buyer purchased the residence for $2.4 million.

The owner — or at least the home’s current occupant, and the writer of the Airbnb description — uses one bedroom, which will not be available during visitors’ stay.
