I am the epitome of a lazy beauty girl. I absolutely adore makeup products — however, if I had to choose between getting up 20 minutes early to create a full beat every morning or using that extra time to sleep, the latter would win every time. For this reason, I am often on the hunt for products to streamline my beauty routine. And I just hit the jackpot.
About a month ago, right when I had given up on my morning makeup routine, I came across a game-changing video by millennial-loved cosmetics brand, Nudestix. For those who aren’t familiar with this vegan and cruelty-free brand, Nudestix creates travel-friendly products for people who prefer a natural everyday look.
In the video live session, the brand’s co-founder, Taylor Frankel, was testing the brand’s latest product, the Nudestix Nudies Tinted Blur Stick, a makeup tube that was no bigger than her palm. As soon as she swiped the stick on half of her face, I was amazed. It looked like she put a filter on her face.
So what exactly is this miracle product? The first thing Nudestix founders will tell you is that it is not a foundation. The pocket-sized stick contains a unique Korean cream-to-powder mineral formula that beautifully blends into the skin. As someone with dry skin, I usually steer clear of stick makeup products, but this item is unlike anything I’ve tried before.
While you can use a makeup sponge or a brush to blend out the product, my favorite way to apply it is by using my fingers. I simply draw on the stick product (I use the shade Light 3) all my face, focusing on areas that need a bit more coverage like the under eye area or any redness. The lightweight formula goes on as smooth as butter and leaves a seamless finish. It looks like my skin but better. And since I can use my fingers, I can easily apply it anywhere: on the train, in a car, heck, even as I rush out of my apartment.

On an everyday basis, I use the product to help even out my complexion, and then I simply fill in my brows, add a bit of mascara, some gloss, and I keep it moving. However, the Nudies Tinted Blur Stick can be used for so much more. The multitasking stick, which comes in ten shade-adjusting hues, also works as a mattifying cream over your foundation, a primer, and even as a highlight or contour, due to its buildable formula. It is also long-lasting: The first time I wore this product was to a party that started at 10am and lasted until 4pm — and my makeup stayed flawless all day.
Ever since I got my hands on this product there has not been one day that I left my house without it. TBH, I’d probably forget my house keys before I forget my new beauty obsession. My morning routine has become a breeze and I can happily say that this little stick has helped me get my makeup mojo back.
