Welcome to Sports One Charlotte!

Peter and I are beyond excited to introduce our latest business venture, Sports One Charlotte. Considering that Bar One Atlanta is already a successful and proven brand, we have decided to branch out to other cities. We chose Charlotte, North Carolina as our first destination, because the city is progressive and ripe with opportunity. Charlotte is also the nation's second largest U.S. financial center. The queen city (named after the honorable German princess, Charlotte of Mecklenburg-Strelitz) is the largest city in the Carolinas, and the 20th largest city in the U.S. African-Americans make up about 35% of the city's population, up from 32.7%. Peter has been in the restaurant/bar-lounge business for 27 years, and observed a need for more upscale hospitality venues that catered to African Americans in the uptown Charlotte area. Sports One has been open successfully for six months now, and has been embraced with open arms! Thank you, Charlotte, for embracing our vision. We appreciate all your love and support! Our goal is to bring Bar One and Sports Ones into other major cities such as Miami, New York, Chicago, DC, and Houston. Stay tuned.

Girls Just Want to Have Fun!

I would be remiss not to give a huge thank you to Kenya and Claudia for being my road dogs on my girls' road trip. It was so refreshing to have a drama-free adventure and sincere support, minus the road kill.

Burn Baby Burn

The friendship contract was a joke. It was a light hearted and fun-spirited attempt to start a friendship with laughter as opposed to drama. It was meant to be funny. I guess the joke was on me.
