Now that Abby Elliott and TV writer Bill Kennedy are officially husband and wife, her Odd Mom Out co-star Jill Kargman is revealing just how awesome the nuptials were. The pair married last weekend in Connecticut, and every moment of the wedding really moved Jill, who raved about the event to Personal Space.
"It was the best wedding I've ever been to. I mean this is so cheese and I hate cheese, there was so much love in the room. And that's so cliche, but it was so real," she said. "And her dad [Chris Elliott] is a comic genius, so it was the best father-of-the-bride toast I've ever heard. And her sister [Bridey is] a stand-up comedian, so that was the best maid-of-honor toast I've ever heard. It was just spectacular."
Abby's sartorial choice was as dazzling as the event itself. Jill gushed all about the traditional-inspired gown, as well as the emotional highs of the day. "It was so classic Grace Kelly. She looked beautiful," she said. "The service was beautiful. It was very Catholic, in a church, traditional and I loved it. I'm a Jew and I was sprouting payots. It was very Jesus-y, but I loved it."
It was also a bonding experience for the entire Kargman family as Jill, her husband, Harry, and their three kids all attended the bash. "It was magic. Well, I danced with my husband and my kids for four and half hours, so you don't get to do that. It's not like I go clubbing with my kids or my husband, although I did this summer," she recalled of painting the town red with her hubby. "But you just don't get to do that. So I felt very alive and l'chaimy and happy."
