We thought this only happened in the movies.
After getting way too drunk on a first date, a Texas woman went back to her date’s house and destroyed hundreds of thousands of dollars' worth of art, including two original Andy Warhol paintings. Uh oh.
Anthony Buzbee, a high-profile Texas attorney claims that after a Dec. 23 date with Lindy Lou Layman, a 29-year-old Dallas court reporter, she went nuts.
According to him, she became intoxicated, then hid from him inside his $14 million mansion, and, when he tried twice to call her an Uber to get her the hell out of there, she began started attacking his art.
She tore three paintings off the wall, poured an unidentified liquid on them, demolished two abstract sculptures by "throwing them across the room." Strong lady.
According to KHOU, prosecutors said two of the paintings were original Warhols — valued at $500,000 apiece. The sculptures were worth $20,000 each.
She was charged with felony criminal mischief and released in lieu of $30,000 bail.
Personal Space reached out to Buzbee, but he did not immediately return a request for comment. He recently made headlines for parking a tank outside his mansion which caused a fight with his homeowners' association. He also hosted Donald Trump for a 2016 fundraiser. Could (any of) those things have something to do with it?
