Chip and Joanna Gaines' house is about to get a whole lot bigger! The Fixer Upper stars are expecting their fifth child.
Chip shared the happy news on Instagram Tuesday with a photo that showed Jo's baby bump — as well as his own playful gut. "Gaines party of 7," Chip wrote in the caption to the photo, where he also confirmed, "WE ARE PREGNANT."
Chip dropped hints about his and Jo's big news on Twitter leading up to the reveal on Tuesday. "You might recall a few months back.. the ever amazing, ever romantic @JOHNNYSWIM was in Waco. And they put on a little too romantic of a concert.. anyways, one thing led to another, & we are officially pregnant," Chip tweeted. "And I could not be more EXCITED! #5 #7ThePerfectNumber."
The Fixer Upper couple already have four children together: Drake, 12, Ella, 11, Duke, 9, and Emmie Kay, 7.
Jo seemed to tease that major news was on the horizon for her and her family in an Instagram post on New Year's Day. "New year, new hope... Be expectant. There is just something about fresh faith and unwavering trust that brings life to our souls," she wrote. "May this be your best year yet."
This baby news comes just a few months after Chip and Jo announced that they would be ending Fixer Upper after five seasons. Chip explained on The TODAY Show in October that ending the show is partly a precautionary measure to preserve their marriage. "We didn't want to push it, red line it for so long that we woke up and realized that we are at a point of no return," he said. "People in our inner circle, I tell them, we're as healthy as we've ever been. I just didn't want to continue pushing this envelope to the fullest extent. And I'm, you know, we're really thankful we have the opportunity to sort of step back and take a break."
