Meghan Markle will be the first-ever Royal-to-be to spend Christmas with the Queen of England while still a fiancée. Made official by a Kensington Palace announcement on Wednesday, she'll join the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge (aka Prince William and Duchess Kate) and her future husband Prince Harry at Queen Elizabeth's Sandringham estate on Christmas day.
According to E! News, Duchess Kate did not receive the same invitation before she married Prince William in 2011, so this is a break from previous tradition. And this year, they'll have their impending engagement to celebrate along with the holidays.
Meanwhile, her Royal story is already being written, officially and unofficially. Controversial Princess Diana biographer Andrew Morton announced that he's already working on a book about Meghan, Tweeting, "Excited to be writing Meghan Markle's story. She has bags of charisma. A royal star who will have tremendous impact on royal family and wider world."
