Jeff Bezos' Divorce Is Finally Final... So Can We Expect to See Happy Couple Selfies with Lauren Sanchez Anytime Soon?
The Amazon mogul is now free to be — and snap selfies — with his girlfriend, Lauren Sanchez. BRB, we're refreshing our feeds.
It might have been the most expensive divorce of all time — but it sure was speedy. After announcing in January that he was parting ways with his longtime wife, MacKenzie Bezos, Jeff Bezos' divorce is finally final. Now, as you've likely heard, Jeff won't be appearing on Love Connection anytime soon. The Amazon mogul has already moved on, and is in a committed relationship with his alleged mistress, Lauren Sanchez.
Though we all know that detail, thanks to The National Enquirer, there has been a lot of secrecy surrounding the divorce. But now that it's final, can we expect our social media feeds to light up with photos of Jeff and Lauren, out on whatever kind of dates billionaires go on? (Luxury safari for two? Renting out the Eiffel Tower for a night? The sky's the limit!) Not to dash your voyeuristic dreams, but probably not.
According to Page Six, the lovebirds will most likely "stay apart" for now. A source told the column: "Lauren and Jeff talk all the time, but she wants to stay low-key until their divorces are final, when they will be together. Lauren insists she and Jeff haven’t seen each other since the Enquirer story about their affair broke on Jan. 9, and that she and Jeff both decided to stay apart until their divorces were done, which could be within a few weeks. It’s mostly to protect the privacy of their children, but also because they felt it was the right thing to do."
Meanwhile, MacKenzie has remained on the up-and-up. On April 4, she made the following gracious statement via Twitter: "Grateful to have finished the process of dissolving my marriage with Jeff with support from each other and everyone who reached out to us in kindness, and looking forward to next phase as co-parents and friends." This is her first post, so it looks like MacKenzie created an account just to be able to speak for herself.
