UPDATE (Jan. 16, 2018, 3:10pm) Well wishes are already coming in for the new arrival including Kim's sister, Khloe, and pal, Ryan Seacrest.
The time is finally here: The member of the KarJenner family with the least amount of speculation around her expected pregnancy — Kim Kardashian — just welcomed a baby girl on Monday. The seven-pound, six-ounce girl was born via surrogate and joins big sister, North, 4, and brother, Saint, 2.
The news was confirmed on Kim's website in a "She's here!" post (timestamped January 15 at 12:47 a.m.):
"Kanye and I are happy to announce the arrival of our healthy, beautiful baby girl. We are incredibly grateful to our surrogate who made our dreams come true with the greatest gift one could give and to our wonderful doctors and nurses for their special care. North and Saint are especially thrilled to welcome their baby sister.
Kim Kardashian West"
After Kim suffered complications including placenta accreta after the birth of her older children, the KUWTK star was advised not to risk carrying a third pregnancy with husband Kanye West. According to TMZ, it's not clear if the surrogate gave birth in her hometown area of San Diego or at Cedars-Sinai in Los Angeles (where the older Kardashian West babies were born).
We can’t wait to see pictures of the little girl and future playdates with her soon-to-be-born cousin(s). (In case you’ve been living under a rock, Kim’s sister Khloe konfirmed her own pregnancy back in December, while younger sister Kylie is still playing koy.)
Congratulations to the new party of five — and here’s hoping there’ll be more pictures in the nursery at their new home, too.
