The estranged half-sister of Meghan Markle has lashed out at Prince Harry while plugging her upcoming book. Samantha Markle, who hasn't talked to Meghan in almost 10 years and is writing a memoir called The Diary of Princess Pushy’s Sister, took to Twitter to respond to a BBC Radio interview in which Prince Harry said that his family is "the family I suppose she's never had."
"Actually she has a large family who were always there with her and for her," she wrote. "Our household was very normal and when dad and [Meghan's mother] Doria divorced, we all made it so it was like she had two houses. No one was estranged, she was just too busy. Read my book complete with facts and photos."
Samantha told US Weekly that the Royal relationship has caused friction between the siblings and that the title of her book is a poke at the media: “It created some rifts with us, but people across the pond think we’re mean people saying bad things about her, but that’s not the case. Everyone assumes my book is a slamming tell-all, which it is not. Now it can be egg in their faces and everyone can say what they think. My book is not a small piece and it is important historically. I wasn’t in a position to release what it was about. They assumed the worst and I think that’s unfair and our family members who spoke about my book shouldn’t be doing so.”
Samantha told the publication she was still hopeful she'd receive a wedding invitation.
