These Celebs Have All Revealed They Don't Really Have Sex a Lot

Jennifer Lawrence, Tim Gunn, Pink and others have publicly discussed their various reasons for this.

Everyone is having sex all the time — yeah right. It’s a relief when someone, anyone says, “yeah, not so much,” and makes the rest of the world feel normal. It's even better when celebs admit that despite the images of sex and desire they’re putting out there (for big bucks), in real life they’re as boring as the rest of us.

Pink recently admitted that she and her husband of 11 years, Carey Hart, had once gone an entire year without having sex.

“There are moments where I look at [Hart] and he is the most thoughtful, logical, constant … he’s like a rock. He’s a good man,” Pink told The Guardian. “He’s a good dad. He’s just the kind of dad I thought he’d be and then some.”

“And then I’ll look at him and go: I’ve never liked you,” she added. “There’s nothing I like about you. We have nothing in common. I don’t like any of the sh-- you like. I don’t ever wanna see you again. Then two weeks later I’m like, things are going so good, you guys … Then you’ll go through times when you haven’t had sex in a year. Is this bed death? Is this the end of it? Do I want him? Does he want me?”

Tiffany Haddish told Kelly Ripa that she met Brad Pitt in an elevator at this year’s Oscars, and that he hit on her…kind of. According to the comedian, Brad told her if they were both still single in a year, they should hook up. “Why do you have to wait?” Ripa asked. “I don’t know, he told me to wait a year,” Haddish replied.

That one’s likely due to Brad’s sobriety as it’s common for people in recovery to wait a year to have sex, or get into any kind of relationship that could potentially be serious.

Jennifer Lawrence straight up says, “Dick is dangerous."

While doing press for Red Sparrow, the actress told Howard Stern “I am all bark and no bite, I always talk like I want dick, but the truth is when I look back at my sexual past it was always with boyfriends."

“I talk like I like it, but I don’t really do it," she continued. "I am mostly also a germaphobe. I have made it this far without an STI…If I was at the point where I could get an STI, doctors have already been involved. That is how much of a germaphobe I am. I am making it clear that I have not had sex in a very long time. I would like to have a relationship, you know. It is hard out there.”

Tim Gunn shocked everyone when he revealed in 2012 that it had been nearly 30 years since he’d had sex.

“I haven't had sex in 29 years," the design guru revealed. "Do I feel like less of a person because of it? No."

An intense relationship that ended abruptly led to his decision, and says don’t worry, his life is "perfectly fulfilled.”

In 2008, Lenny Kravitz revealed that he'd been celibate for three years. But he oozes sex.

'It's just a promise I made until I get married. Where I'm at in life, the women have got to come with something else, not just the body, but the mind and spirit. It usually trips them out, but that's the way it's going to be. I'm looking at the big picture,” he said.

Lady Gaga may not wear pants often, but she says she goes without sex for long periods of time in order to keep her sanity.

"I can't believe I'm saying this — don't have sex. It's not really cool any more to have sex all the time. It's cooler to be strong and independent. It's OK not to have sex, it's OK to get to know people. I'm celibate, celibacy's fine,” she told CNN.

Friends star Courteney Cox admitted to a sexless year in 2011 after she split from ex-husband David Arquette. “I’m holding to it. I've not had a man since David,” she said at the time.

In 2006, a then 25-year-old Paris Hilton claimed she was celibate and sick of boyfriends. She said, “I am not having sex for a year. I'll kiss, but nothing else.”

Miranda Kerr and Evan Spiegel decided to practice celibacy ahead of tying the knot, with the model saying in 2017, "Not yet. Not until after we get married. My partner is very traditional.”
